About us

Email is just a letter, sent faster.

Epistolē is a Canadian email platform for creators, clubs, and small businesses. We built it because reaching your people should not mean handing their privacy, or yours, to someone else.

What the name means

Epistolē (from the Ancient Greek epistolē, a letter) is the oldest word for a written message sent to someone who matters. An epistle was personal, deliberate, and meant for the person who opened it. That is exactly what an email should still be.

Our mission

Give small organizations a way to reach their audience that respects everyone in the room. Your contacts, your campaigns, and your consent records stay in Canada. You own the relationship with your people, not a data broker, not an ad network, and not a server in another country.

Privacy is not a feature we bolted on to look good. It is the reason the company exists.

Why we exist

When a club, a course, or a small shop needs to email its members, the usual answer is a personal Gmail address and a very long CC line. It feels harmless. It is not.

You do not compromise your clients' privacy, and in return they do not get an email from some random Gmail address with every other client's address sitting in the CC field for anyone to copy.

That CC line leaks every one of your members' email addresses to every other member. It lands in spam. It looks unprofessional. And it puts you on the wrong side of Canadian privacy law without you ever meaning to.

Epistolē sends each person their own private message. Nobody sees anybody else. Consent is tracked, the list is kept clean, and everything stays in Canada. Your members get a real letter, addressed to them, from you.
